Catching Up on Politics and the Start of Clinton's Campaign

Though normally a pretty optimistic guy, I'll have to say that the more I see of the dark side of the current administration, the less optimism I can find in my heart. They've made it pretty clear that they are willing to do just about anything to insure that the Commander in Chief's "inherent authority" and his power as the Chief Executive and sole decision maker in the "unitary executive" are unfettered and unrestricted.

The key problem is that we not only have to get the current administration out of power, but we have to do so replacing them with someone who actually dismantle the authoritarian mechanisms and not merely "put them to better use". Mrs. Clintin is saying many of the right things as are Edwards and Obama, and a couple of others, but which of them mean them and which are saying it because they are the right things to say to get elected?

It will be interesting.
